Executive Summary

Axians Global (“Axians”) assessed the interoperability of IBM PowerVC with Huawei OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage solution. The goal of the assessment is to validate that IBM PowerVC is interoperable with Huawei OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage.

In the assessment, Axians has determined that IBM PowerVC will function with Huawei OceanStor Dorado All-Flash Storage for the following scenarios:

1. Environment Configuration

Networking description:

Creating VMs for Deploying IBM PowerVC Nodes.
Deploy the PowerVC: Use the Linux VM servers as the PowerVC nodes.
The management network and service network are connected to the PowerVC nodes and Huawei storage through switches.
Management network and service network of all storage devices connect to the PowerVC nodes through 10g Ethernet.

Test Procedure	1. Run the PowerVC registration command to register Huawei storage. 2. Run commands to check the registered Huawei storage device. 3. View the registered Huawei storage device on the management page.
Expected Result	1. In step 2, the storage is registered successfully and the information is correct. 2. In step 3, the storage information is correct and the status is normal.

Test Purpose	To verify that PowerVC supports create volume.

Expected Result	1. In step 1, the volume is successfully created, and the volume information is correctly displayed on the DM page. 2. In step 2, multiple volumes are successfully created, and the volume information is correctly displayed on the DM page.

Test Purpose	To verify that PowerVC supports delete volume.

Expected Result	1. In step 1, the volume is successfully deleted, and the volume on the storage device is also deleted. 2. In step 2, multiple volumes are successfully deleted, and the volumes on the storage device are also deleted.
Test Results	1. On the PowerVC page, delete the created volume. 2. Log in to the DeviceManager to view LUN information. 3.On the PowerVC page, delete multiple volumes at a time. 4. Log in to the DeviceManager to view LUN information.
